Hair of Hope Campaign Women with Breast Cancer in Curaçao

At Adore My Wig, we believe that hair loss does not have to mean a loss of identity. We are proud to be a partner of the Hair of Hope campaign – a powerful initiative dedicated to women with breast cancer in Curaçao. This campaign is part of the broader Happy New Hair project and is carried out by Pink Ribbon Curaçao, in cooperation with the Foxer Talent foundation and supported by Tefal.

Our mission with Hair of Hope

Many women who go through breast cancer lose their hair, and with it a piece of their self-confidence. Hair of Hope wants to give that back. Not only through a wig, but also through hope, strength, and dignity.

In October – the international breast cancer month – funds are raised and awareness actions are organized. From January onwards, we turn this support into concrete help:

• 🎀 Free custom-made wig – fully tailored to the woman

• 🎀 Empowerment workshop – learning to handle, wear, and care for the wig

• 🎀 Personal guidance – one-on-one support from a wig specialist at Adore My Wig

Who is Hair of Hope for?

This campaign is specially aimed at women in Curaçao who face hair loss due to breast cancer. Because besides the medical battle, going bald often also means losing a part of one’s identity. With Hair of Hope, we give these women back their strength and appearance.

The role of Adore My Wig

As experts in medical wigs, we use our knowledge and experience to give women not only a wig but also the strength to recognize themselves in the mirror again. We guide each woman step by step – from choosing the right style to confidently wearing her new hair.

Why Curaçao in particular?

In Curaçao, access to medical wigs and psychosocial support is limited. Moreover, there is often still a taboo on hair loss. Together with Pink Ribbon Curaçao, Foxer Talent, and Tefal, we want to break down these barriers. By offering openness, recognition, and concrete help, we make it clear that hair loss does not have to be a loss of identity.
